Business or Personal Reference Verification
Business or Personal Reference Verifications include contact with persons listed on the application or developed during the investigation to determine length of time known, frequency of contact, relationship and recommendations for future employment.
Credit Check
ScreeningONE’s credit check accesses a national credit bureau repository. We have direct private connections to Experian and TransUnion credit bureau systems. Information returned in a credit report can contain public records including bankruptcy proceedings, collection accounts and civil litigation records.
Criminal Background Check
ScreeningONE searches court records by county, state, federal or national levels to locate any record of conviction.
Drug Testing
ScreeningONE offers 5 to 10 Panel Laboratory-Based Testing to identiy applicants or employees who are current users of illegal drugs through analysis of a body fluid or specimen.
Education History Verification
Education History Verification is accomplished directly through the educational institution. Inquiries are made concerning dates of attendance, date of graduation or award, type of degree and fields of study. ScreeningONE will contact at least two logical sources to verify any claimed degree if the first source is unable to confirm.
Employee History Verification
Employee History Verification is obtained through direct contact with a supervisor or a human resources representative. Information regarding the name of the employer, dates employed, job title, job performance, reason for leaving, eligibility for rehire, and other pertinent job-related details are included as available.
Motor Vehicle Record Search
A Motor Vehicle Record Search obtains the driving record report from a specified state's Department of Motor Vehicles. ScreeningONE’s direct connection to state Departments of Motor Vehicles means quick turnaround time for our clients. All motor vehicle records obtained through the ScreeningONE system are presented in a user friendly, easily-readable format that interprets the various state codes and provides a report that is uniform across all states.
OFAC Terrorist Watch Group List
ScreeningONE searches the Department of the Treasury’s database to identify individuals and organizations which have been sanctioned and whose assets are subject to freezing. The purpose of this database is to prevent businesses from providing financial support to terrorist and drug-trafficking foreign nationals and organizations.
Sexual Offender Search
Sexual Offender Searches provide information on offenders who are required to register in the state in which they reside. Information returned may include name, aliases, physical characteristics, date of birth, residential address, employer, county, state of conviction and offense.
Social Security Trace
ScreeningONE recommends a Social Security Number Trace as a starting point for any background screening. Social Security Number Trace is achieved through a search of consumer records contained in the credit bureau files. Our Social Security Number Search warns when a Social Security Number may never have been issued, may have been issued to a person who has been reported deceased, is currently being used by other individuals (lists up to four names using the number) or has been issued so recently that the number may belong to a child.
An additional feature of the Social Security Number Trace is the reporting of any addresses associated with the Social Security Number for credit application purposes. Many employers utilize this information to determine if the applicant has truthfully supplied all relevant residential address history on an employment application. Addresses revealed by the Social Security Number Trace, but not supplied by an applicant, may be used to expand a criminal record search. These undisclosed addresses may lead to a criminal conviction record the applicant has attempted to shield from a prospective employer.
Wants and Warrants
ScreeningONE offers a nationwide search for any outstanding felony wants and warrants issued by law enforcement. The types of warrants range from misdemeanor warrants for bad checks, traffic violations, failure to appear, and unpaid fines to felony warrants for parole or probation violations, robbery, forgery, kidnapping or murder.
