EOC is seeking a Financial Analyst within the USA FP&A team. Being the only analytics team in the company, we are regularly asked to solve many questions stretching within all departments of the business. This role will also be responsible for improving the company’s financial status by building financial models, analyzing, and interpreting data and results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and supporting our financial planning process. The perfect candidate for this role with have a high level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgment, and attention to detail.
Essential Job Duties
Closely partners with sales to develop and deliver monthly sales, margin, and inventory forecasts through our detailed item level financial models.
Leads and maintains expense reporting with department managers, identifying best practices and key performance indicators.
Delivers monthly financial close and long-range planning forecast inputs. Using NetSuite, Tableau, and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large datasets.
Researches, analyzes and prepares data for department wide issues and requests in order to communicate fiscal impacts.
Identifies and implements solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes.
Makes thoughtful time management decisions independently. Prioritizes work, resolves issues, meets deadlines, and seeks feedback from your manager. Discerns between urgent and non-urgent issues and acts accordingly to solve them.
Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.
Contributes to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science) or equivalent.
Minimum 2+ years of finance or equivalent experience.
Experience working within the outdoor industry.
MBA and/or Professional certifications (CPA/CFA/Qualified Accounting certificate).
Proven success in achieving effective results in a fast-paced, growing, and ambiguous environment.
Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in a business partnering role.
Ability to sit for long periods of time?
