Job Description
Position Summary:


The Technical Project manager will be responsible for overseeing current and new digital development projects as well will serve as a key escalation point for all stakeholders. This role will include business analysis, project management, service delivery strategy, project execution of end results, organizational change management and solution adoption. The focus will be on implementing a structured, mature project lifecycle consistent with best practices and industry standards. This individual will also provide thought leadership and direction on current and new project strategies from inception, to completion. The incumbent must possess outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. They must have proven experience in working independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving. This incumbent must have demonstrated ability to adapt to rapid changes in accordance to priorities and logistical requirements as presented.


Physical Demands:


Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.

Must be able to travel for business throughout Canada, US and internationally.

Financial Responsibilities:


Work with senior leadership and global finance team to manage annual budgeting process, as well as monthly/weekly/daily forecasting and reporting.

Manage project budgets.

Responsibilities:


Lead and manage the full lifecycle of digital development projects including production website updates, app development and maintenance, platform migration and new web property builds. This role will have following responsibilities:

Utilize project management tools and techniques to lead digital development projects and tasks

Work with the BPCs, SLT and IT Steering committee on project prioritization

Oversee daily activities of multiple project teams, assign project work and serve as initial escalation point while maintaining and controlling project performance

Own and actively deploy the standard Project Delivery Methodology, continually provide input for improvement to methodology and act as ambassador to external project managers

Responsible for successful delivery of digital development programs/projects with integration of organizational change management. (whether directly managed or overseeing other project managers):

Clearly define the roles and responsibilities to all project team members.
Coordinate cross-functional teams integration in the development and successful completion of small through large-scale initiatives across the entire project lifecycle.

Effectively challenge and manage expectations when all project prerequisites are not met or jeopardize delivery of overall project landscape

Plan and forecast project resources (internal or external)

Ensure all appropriate project documentations (e.g. Business blueprint, Communication plan, functional specification, User Acceptance Testing, Change Requests) are created and signed off by the Project Board or respective parties

Manage the project through its phases, monitor progress and provide regular communication to the Project Board and other stakeholders

Ensure Project transition to support is planned and managed in close cooperation with the development and infrastructure leads

Ensure change and adoption of projects is managed, communicated and monitored

Ensure project closure with correct documentation including lessons learned

Ensure successful completion of Internal and External Audits on Projects



Manage and report status on projects portfolio, budget, risk, quality and resources

Keep up-to-date with Project Management industry standards and best-practices, external networking, and renewal of certification(s)

Follow internal controls and company policies as set by Cycling Sports Group and job function.

Contribute to the success of Cycling Sports Group by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology management, engineering or a related field required.

6-10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years managing Projects

Proven Stakeholder management and organizational change management skills

Experience in various project management methodologies - Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid etc

Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts to business language and vice versa

Relevant and recent experience leading projects from start to finish in multiple of the areas below:
Small to Large scale solution build & deployments across multiple regions, applications and areas

Experience in managing external vendors, resources and contracts

Experience in execution of business change management as part of a project

Experience in smoothly transitioning (technical) project deliverables to support team



An effective leader and mentor, capable of building a team and organization.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Effective negotiating skills.

Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to Workfront, ProjectManager.com, JIRA, MS Excel, etc.

Experience working with CMS system, preferably Sitecore

Understanding of web application structure and deployment processes
