Job Description
The US Sales Manager is a critical factor in ensuring that we continue our success in the US market. Our wholesale business is built organically, with the long-term goal of becoming a meaningful and reliable partner to all of the valued resellers we have today. The industry is rapidly changing. At Norrøna we believe that the future of wholesale will be defined by how brands and retailers effectively streamline operational cooperation and create an appealing consumer experience. The way Norrøna is presented in our wholesale is a vital contributing factor, and the sales manager has the responsibility and mandate to ensure that we continue to drive our business forward in a sustainable way.

As our Sales Manager, you will be responsible for all of our wholesale accounts across the US market. You will lead our sales team, collaboratively develop the strategy, and business plans, and drive the company forward. You are actively engaged in the operational part of the business and a visible representative for our company in the industry landscape.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

-Build and manage the US wholesale business in line with Norrøna`s distribution strategy.
-Evolve our sales and market positioning whilst maintaining brand integrity and long-term goals.
-Set sales targets, and ensure the necessary action to deliver results matching these targets.
-Build sales & distribution plans, and lead Norrøna`s sales team of in-house sales reps and independent agencies.
-Develop collaborative relationships with the company`s key partners across the US market.
-Manage trade marketing plans and the execution of these in collaboration with partners.
-Develop tools and execute training programs to optimize sell-through.
-Conduct contract negotiations within a given mandate.
-Arrange and lead various events and sales meetings, both externally and internally.
-Responsible for Norrøna’s attendance at selected trade shows.
-Maintain market knowledge through meetings with customers, independent research, review of publications, and participation in professional societies.
-Top and bottom line budget responsibility.

Job Requirements
You have leadership experience from other relevant brands within the industry, preferably apparel. You know the market profoundly and have the network required to handle the scope of the role proficiently. You understand our products and the use of these. You understand how a high-end brand should be presented in physical stores and online retail. You understand that the market is changing and that innovation through digitization, the introduction of new business models, and challenging the status quo will be part of your daily work. Significant travel activity should be expected domestically and internationally.

The role is part of Norrøna’s global wholesale organization and reports to the Sales Director.

-Bachelor's or Master's degree or similar year`s relevant work experience.
-Minimum 5 years experience in a similar commercial role, including leadership responsibilities.
-Strong digital skills, and analytical capabilities.
-Strong commercial mind and the ability to distinguish between good and bad deals when they emerge.
-Retail/trade marketing experience.
-Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
-Experience working in a global organization is an asset.
-Fluent in English.
-Drivers license class B
-Daily/regular workplace in Boulder, CO
