New Manager for Elan's International Snow Board Divison

Primoz Plestenjak Takes Over The Management Of Elan's International Snowboard Division

Primoz Plestenjak is replacing former American Division Manager Brian Brand who left the company shortly after ISPO to assume a US-based managing position. Due to his long term working experience with and detailed knowledge of the Elan snowboard brand, 32-year old Plestenjak is the perfect choice to fill Brand’s boots. Plestenjak has been an avid snowboarder since 1990, also riding professionally for a stint of four years. After resigning from his pro-snowboard career he joined the R&D department at the Elan factory in Fürnitz, Austria, where he was soon to become the Product Director of both the Elan ski and snowboard collections. "The leading role in the snowboard division definitely presents the biggest personal challenge in my career so far. Returning to the roots of my 7-year involvement with Elan by heading the snowboard division into the growing future phases will be everything else than an easy task to accomplish. After the successful launch of our ambitious program for Elan Snowboards, its image and sales are now in the phase of strong growth within the markets where the brand has received the necessary attention", states Plestenjak. He also adds, "With a dedicated team behind me and with the support of the management this positive trend can definitely continue into the upcoming seasons.
