Next Week ASR Holiday Returns with Strong Growth in Second Year
May 23-24 event at the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center shows continued expansion in action sports’ holiday season
San Juan Capistrano, CA (May 14, 2007) – ASR Holiday arrives at the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center next week, as a bigger, stronger show than its debut a year ago. Expanding holiday lines and enthusiasm from key surf, skate, snow, moto and youth culture brands are fueling a 10% increase in ASR Holiday exhibitors. Buyers have also expressed a need for a consolidated holiday buying venue. With over a week until the show opens, retailer pre-registration is up more than 20% from the debut holiday event.
“The action sports industry has looked to ASR to provide a global showcase for spring, summer and fall lines for over 25 years. With ASR Holiday, we’re now able to meet the industry’s buying needs for the key retail holiday season,” says Andy Tompkins, ASR Show Director.
ASR is providing breakfast and lunch for retail attendees allowing buyers to move fluidly between work and rest, making the most of the 2-day event. Atwater Collection celebrates one year in business with a happy hour during the afternoon of day one, May 23rd. To cap off the first day, ASR and Skinnie Magazine present ASR Nightlife, an industry party at Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa. The party will feature a live photo shoot, music by Nick Hernandez of Common Sense and a charity auction benefiting Surfers Healing.
Brands at ASR Holiday include the hottest, emerging labels and strongest, established brands in the surf, skate, snow, moto and youth culture markets. Check out asrbiz.com for more info.
