nossaTV Beefs Up Staff for Video On Demand Site Set to Launch 2008
In anticipation of its full launch in the spring of 2008, action sports video site nossaTV has announced several promotions.
Promoted to Content Acquisition Manager is Dave Woods. Dave will oversee the entire content acquisition side of nossaTV, a site that prides itself on maintaining and growing the largest collection of feature length action sports videos. His responsibilities include translating nossaTV's CRM and revenue sharing model to independent filmmakers. Dave's extensive experience in the surf industry is in high demand, as he splits time between nossaTV, Aviso Surfboards, Bessell Surfboards, and Revolt Magazine. He is located in San Diego.
The new Customer Acquisition Manager is Mike De Laet, or Mike D. as he is known around Lake Tahoe. Mike D. is now responsible for all programs to attract users to the nossaTV destination site, www.nossatv.com. He will manage the full slate of events, film festivals, sponsorships, promotions, and communications. He brings his extensive promotional and operational experience to nossaTV as founder of Ride Lake Tahoe (RLT) and as former events and promotions manager at Kirkwood.
Finally, Mike Sharp has been promoted to General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of nossaTV. Previously the Content Acquisition Manager, he will now fill the role of Ad Sales Manager, responsible for synchronizing the advertising sales efforts with the action sports industry as a whole. Mike brings his managerial and ad sales experience over from the athlete, manufacturer, and magazine side of the snowsports business.
All three were promoted from within the growing company, setting the stage for a round of hiring in the coming months to handle a rapidly expanding content library, user base, and advertising inventory.
