FUEL TV Announces Stellar August Programming Lineup
King Of Wake World Cup Series, “Billabong Design For Humanity,” “Nixon’s High Tide Hold ‘Em,” “The 2008 Maverick’s Surf Contest” and Globe’s “United By Fate: Episode 4” Featured.
FUEL TV, the only network dedicated to the lifestyle of action sports, features its August specials including the “King of Wake World Cup Series,” “Billabong’s Design For Humanity,” and a special “Check 1,2” Marathon including a new “Check 1,2” with the band MGMT.

King of Wake World Cup Series '08 – 2008 PWT Stop 2 – at 8:00pm ET/PT in Wake Steady
They say everything’s bigger in Texas and that’s no exaggeration. This year there’s a ton of excitement building over The Mastercraft Pro Wakeboard Tour’s stop number two. The best professional wakeboarders in the world arrive at Texas Mastercraft’s private training facility in Fort Worth for an epic weekend of riding. Last year, the Bone-Crusher, Rusty Malinoski, crushed the competition here. Can he again outride the “Iceman” Phillip Soven and the “A-Train” Adam Errington to grab the Indmar points chase lead?

With all the jumbo rails and mega ramps in skate videos, things run the risk of getting a bit too serious. “Cheese & Crackers” is a breath of fresh air to shred enthusiasts gasping for something new. In this mini-ramp smack down, Daewon Song and Chris Haslam take their technical skills to a five-foot halfpipe hidden in the sprawl of Long Beach's shipyards. Using found props within their junk-ridden warehouse, Haslam and Song have a few laughs as they rearrange what people think is possible and impossible on a shred stick. Enjoy!

Billabong’s Design For Humanity – 8:00pm ET/PT in Meet & Brotatoes
Design for Humanity is Billabong’s charitable initiative. It began as an opportunity for Billabong’s marketing, art and design teams to come together and give back to a non-profit close to the heart of our industry. Now in its second year, Billabong has chosen Surfrider Foundation as the benefiting charity for this year’s event. This year Design for Humanity features a swim fashion show, an art auction and a musical performance from MGMT. In the second part of the show we will travel to Puerto Rico with Billabong surfers Sanoe Lake and Alana Brennan to see firsthand the kind of work that Surfrider Foundation is responsible for.

After two battle-ridden stops on the Mastercraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, the best riders in the world have arrived in the Twin Cities of Minnesota for another weekend of tough competition. Out front in the Indmar performance standings is the Iceman, Phillip Soven, who’s two for two in event wins. Bone-Crusher Rusty Malinoski and a surging Andrew Adkison arrive to try and end Phillip’s success.
