Surf Expo announces Seminars and Events for September 2008 Show

Surf Expo is proud to announce its September 2008 Seminar Series, featuring educational tracks designed for both retailers and exhibitors. These free seminars are the most direct way to take the pulse of the industry and to sharpen your Merchandising, Marketing, and Exhibiting skills.

This year’s Retail Seminar Series—presented by the Board Retailers Association—includes an industry overview by ActionWatch’s Cary Allington who will also discuss “Maximizing the Value of your Store and Industry Data.”

The Merchandising Track includes Visual Merchandising 101, a course taught by Surf Expo buyer relations manager and industry veteran Steven “Fish” Fisher. Also in the merchandising track is a retail panel hosted by Sunglasses Magazine entitled “Sunwear, The Powerhouse Profit Builder.”

The Marketing Track features two sessions by Sage Island’s Mike Duncan: E-mail Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. These are two can’t-miss topics retailers and manufacturers alike need to take advantage of.

And for the first time ever, this September Surf Expo is hosting an Exhibitor Seminar series lead by exhibition management professional Candy Adams. She will teach four 90-minute courses for Surf Expo veteran exhibitors and first-timers alike on Thursday, September 11. These seminars are free and include an opportunity to sign up for a personal consultation with Candy on Friday during the show. Course titles include:

Top Ten Tips for Tradeshow Success
Boothmanship 101
101 Cost Cutting Tips and
·  Economic, But Still Effective, Exhibiting
