FUEL TV Boosts Staff for Expanded Growth
Network adds key personnel in New Media, Interactive and Programming departments.

FUEL TV, the only network dedicated to the lifestyle of action sports, has appointed new personnel in the New Media, Web, and programming departments to help expand its brand through all content channels. Gene Pao is the new Vice President of New Media and International Development, Patrick Perez becomes Director of New Media, and Kirsten Missen takes the role of Manager of Acquisitions.

"We are excited about expanding our team with these new staff members," says CJ Olivares, FUEL TV's General Manager. "These individuals will help us continue to grow and expand the FUEL TV brand through both international and digital platforms."

As FUEL TV's VP of New Media and International Development, Pao will be working with Fox Digital Media and leading companies in the digital media and action sports industries to enhance FUEL TV's new media businesses, which include its website, www.fuel.tv, as well as various distribution outlets such as Hulu and iTunes. In addition, Pao will oversee the FUEL TV's expansion in the international marketplace, which currently covers more than 100 territories including 24/7 channels in Australia and Portugal. He joins FUEL TV after most recently serving as Vice President at Fox Interactive Media where he led a team of professionals in product marketing, business development, ad sales, and creative development. Pao played an integral role in building various TV-related digital businesses including: MyFox, a network of local TV station websites, and Fox On Demand, which provides full-length episodes of Fox shows over the Internet.

"FUEL TV has already established its position as a leader in action sports television production and programming," says Pao. "I look forward to leading its expansion into two exciting new areas-new media and international-both of which hold incredible potential."

FUEL TV's Director of New Media, Perez, had been working for the network as a freelancer and steps into his new role on staff. His expertise in technologies, people, and ideas are invaluable to the New Media goals and objectives at FUEL TV. Perez previously served as a Wireless Consultant for Perez Ventures, LLC and was also Vice President of Music and Entertainment at GoTV Networks Inc., where he launched 1KTV and GoTV Television Network, an innovative news and entertainment network featuring video and multi-media applications for wireless delivery. Prior to that Perez was Director of News Features for Fox 11 News, where he produced news segments, specials, sweeps pieces and features for "Good Day LA" and "Fox News at 10," and won multiple awards for his work including several Los Angeles area Emmy Awards.

FUEL TV also welcomes Kirsten Missen as the new Manager of Acquisitions. She will use her extensive knowledge in production and management to bring new, innovative licensed shows and programs to FUEL TV and its viewers. Prior to her position at FUEL TV, Missen was the U.S. General Manager for Whyte House Productions. She lead a group of creative professionals responsible for the development of web-based marketing initiatives and video production for Globe, a major action sports footwear, equipment, and apparel firm. Previous to that she served as the Production Manager for Whyte House Productions, Australia. Her production credits include the acclaimed skate documentary "The Man who Souled the World," "AKA: Surfer Girl," "AKA: Girl Skater," "Cheese & Crackers," "Bag of Suck," "Love The Beast" and "The Global Assault!!!"
