Ski and Golf at Mammoth Mountain This Memorial Day Weekend

With the opening of Sierra Star Golf Course on Friday, May 22, 2009, and skiing and snowboarding through June 14, 2009, Mammoth Mountain will be the only place in California where you can ski and golf in the same day.

Located at the base of Mammoth Mountain and mere minutes from the ski slopes, Sierra Star Golf Course has an elevation of 8,050 feet at the highest point making it the highest golf course in California.

Take advantage of Mammoth’s Stay and Play Package and get lodging and your choice of activity for as low as $115 per person, per night*.  Choose from 18 holes of golf at Sierra Star Golf Course, a lift ticket to Mammoth Mountain or a ticket for a ride on the scenic Panorama Gondola.  Stay and Play lodging packages are valid May 22 – June 12, 2009 and available by calling 800.MAMMOTH or visiting

Mammoth Mountain’s legendary Spring Super Duper Pipe opens on Monday, May 18, 2009.  Located above McCoy Station at an elevation of 10,000 feet, the new halfpipe boasts 22-foot tall walls and measures 400+ feet in length.  Mammoth currently has terrain parks open on Forest Trail and Unbound Main, and a selection of jumps and rails will soon be added to the new spring park to complement the massive halfpipe ensuring that Mammoth will have a terrain park open until the last day of the season.

With a base depth of 4-8 feet of snow near Main Lodge (8,900ft) and 14-18 feet of snow at the summit (11,053ft), Mammoth’s legendary spring conditions are in full effect.  Thanks to nearly 40 feet of snowfall throughout the 2008/09 winter season, Mammoth Mountain has extended its winter operations until at least June 14, and possibly later.
