ASR Access Brings Three Unique Events Together
The combination of ASR, Class@ASR and Crossroads offer retailers three buying environments, in two days, with only one stop this February 3rd and 4th
In order to provide an effective and efficient buying experience for retailers, ASR will bring together an unparalleled spectrum of brands for ASR Access, February 3rd and 4th in San Diego. Together with Class@ASR and Crossroads, ASR will showcase a complete selection of product across three unique trade show environments.
“Action sports is a very complex industry with distinct categories that make up a global marketplace,” says Andy Tompkins, VP of ASR. “By partnering with Class@ASR and Crossroads, retailers will be able to see these categories in different show environments which will provide an authentic look at the products and trends driving each segment.”
ASR will continue to offer a platform for over 400 leading and emerging surf, skate, snow, swim and youth culture markets to preview fall and back-to-school collections to leading buyers from around the world. Events including a high-energy runway, mini ramp and business seminars that will provide chances to network, consider buying decisions and gain valuable insight between appointments.
“It’s very encouraging to retailers that ASR’s bringing the three categories together again in one location,” says Mark Richards, Co-owner of Val Surf, which has five locations in the Los Angeles area. “ASR’s made it very convenient again for our surf, skate, women’s and other buyers to come down together and see a lot of brands in just a day or two.”
After debuting to massive praise from both retailers and brands in 2009, Class@ASR returns to stage adjacent to ASR at the San Diego Convention Center. Featuring a curated group of over 100 designers that crossover from the action sports lifestyle into the prestigious fashion market, CLASS@ ASR is an exclusive event with its own vibe, booth design, food and ambiance. An impressive list of brands has already signed on for Class@ASR, see the current list at http://www.asrbiz.com/classatasr/exhibitor-list.
“Class@ASR was very impressive!” continues Richards. “Not knowing what to expect, my son and I walked the show and felt it was a really strong addition to our buying options at ASR.”
Crossroads is set to collaborate with ASR in San Diego this February 3rd and 4th and again August 14th-16th. Started in 2008 by skateboarding icon Jamie Thomas, Crossroads provides a unique, trade show atmosphere for retailers to preview the latest hardgoods, footwear and apparel from the skate industry. Staging adjacent to ASR in the Petco Park parking lot and staying true to the independent nature of skate culture, Crossroads will maintain its unique relaxed, open show format, while benefitting from ASR’s global retail audience.
