Helly Hansen Expands Rep Force
Helly Hansen this month continues to expand its rep force due to high demand, despite the current economic climate.
“Despite industry trends towards rep consolidation, Helly Hansen now has more representation in more U.S. regions than at any other time in its 130-year-plus history,” said Brent Turner, Helly Hansen’s vice present of sales for the United States. “Each new rep brings multiple years of successful service to Helly Hansen, representing other wellknown brands in the ski. sailing and outdoor industries.”
Under the expanded organization, longtime representative Chuck McKerney, will represent the brand in Alaska. Craig and Kristi Wingard, of California continues to grow Helly Hansen’s marketshare in California while also supporting key uniform partnerships which include Squaw Valley USA and Kirkwood Mountain. Footwear specialist Mike Terreri, of New Jeresey, will represent Helly Hansen’s increasing footwear business.
John Phaneuf, of Connecticut, Brad Decker, of Virginia, and Brad and Megan Greenwood, of Maine, will represent New England and the East Coast to better service Helly Hansen’s growing specialty business and resort uniform partnerships.
Bill Cochrane will represent Helly Hansen in the Mid West while Colorado’s Reed Powers will represent the Rockies and help support Helly Hansen’s strong uniform partnerships, which include Aspen Ski Co., Copper Mountain, Durango and Taos.
Chris Coleman, who hails from Illinois, is Helly Hansen’s newest rep for the western edge of the Midwest. Coleman is joined by Bill Cochrane, of Ohio, who will also represent the Midwest.
Meanwhile, the Frontier Group, consisting of John Morioka, Scott Ohsman, Jennifer Eggleston and Charlie Williams will represent Helly Hansen in the Pacific Northwest, bringing a wealth of experience to the company’s strong specialty business while continuing to support key accounts such as REI, Amazon.com and Nordstroms.
