This Week on The Weekly Update: stop two of the Winter Dew Tour brings the best in snowboarding and freeskiing to the Wendy’s Invitational at Snowbasin, Utah. Danny Davis posts his second superpipe win of the tour. But within hours of his victory, he’s hospitalized with a broken back from a late-night ATV accident. Unfortunately, his Dew Cup bid – and his all-but-guaranteed spot to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics – is over.
In slopestyle, Chaz Guldemond posts a big win to climb into the top three overall. On the women’s side, Elena Hight and Spencer O’brien win superpipe and slopestyle, respectively.
In the ski events, Jossi Wells takes top honors in superpipe as the slopestyle win goes to Tom Wallisch. Also from the Rockies, we go on a gear check with Preston Strout, tour Snowbasin with Alexis Waite, and check out a training facility called the Jibyard. Plus we go One-on-One with slopestyle frontrunner Tyler Flanagan.
