TransWorld SURF Editorial Team Hires Zander Morton
TransWorld Media, the media leader in action sports, is pleased to announce Zander Morton as the newest member to the TransWorld SURF editorial team. Zander will fill the associate editor position to aide with the creation and execution of the magazine, as well as adding his digital prowess to transworldsurf.com. With recent expansions into iPad applications, a growing online audience, and an increase in overall print pages, adding Zander to the team was crucial in order to help TransWorld SURF keep up with its continued growth.
“We’ve been wanting Zander on our team full time for years,” said TransWorld Surf Editor In Chief Chris Cote. “We see him as a game changer for us. His vast travel experience, professional surf background, writing chops, attention to detail, and his digital savvy all factor in to why we hired him—and the fact that he just made our staff surf team that much better helps a lot, too!” said Chris.
Zander comes to TransWorld from Jacksonville, Florida, with decades worth of world travel under his belt, as well as a surf career that began when he was just five years old. At 15, Zander added to his surfing abilities by taking on writing assignments from Eastern Surf Magazine. His writing and surfing continued and as he made his way around the globe, he penned stories for Surfer and Surfing, and has been a senior contributing writer for TransWorld SURF for the past five years.
“I’m really looking forward to learning and taking this next step,” said Zander. “I am extremely excited to officially be a part of the TransWorld SURF team.”
