Collective Licensing International Signs Multi-Year Deal with Wiesner Worldwide Kreations for Airwalk in India
Collective Licensing International (CLI), the company that owns and manages the Airwalk brand, announced today a multi-year agreement with Wiesner Worldwide Kreations (WWK), the Indian arm of Wiesner Products Inc. of New York. Under the agreement, WWK will hold a multi-year license for Airwalk across youth categories in India, including kid’s footwear, apparel and general merchandise.
WWK plans to build a strong Airwalk presence across the North, South and East zones of India through distributors and retailers. WWK has targeted distribution to more than 35 national and regional format stores across various product categories. The Airwalk collection in India will debut late this summer.
“Wiesner’s talented design and development teams and their extensive experience in the industry make them the ideal partner for the Airwalk brand in India,” said Bruce Pettet, president and CEO of CLI. “This partnership will be a tremendous addition in the continued global success of Airwalk.”
Established in 1986, Airwalk is among the most recognized board sports and youth lifestyle brands in the world. Last year, Airwalk celebrated its 25th anniversary with its global network of 50 strategic brand partners, reaching more than 100 countries around the world.
“We are extremely delighted to work with Collective Licensing to grow the Airwalk brand,” said Bhavna Jha, Vice President of WWK. “Airwalk is a significant player in the international market and our plan is to fill the current gap in the youth category.”
