Moosejaw Names New CEO
Moosejaw Mountaineering, the outdoor retailer known for its quirky, irreverent marketing and unique customer engagement, has named Eoin Comerford, President and CEO.
Comerford has been with Moosejaw since 2008 as SVP of Marketing and Technology and brings his love of the Moosejaw brand to the position.
“Where else could you release a catalog where customers use an X-Ray iPhone app to see models in their underwear, almost lose an eye in an office Nerf gun fight, and run a free beer promo all in the same year? No place but Moosejaw.” Comerford commented. “I’m excited to lead Moosejaw to even more amazing customer engagement and innovative brand marketing.”
Comerford has over 21 years of industry experience, with leadership roles at AJ Prindle, Ford Unlimited and Arthur Andersen. At Moosejaw Comerford was critical in a number of innovations, including a true multi-channel retail platform, mobile point-of-sale checkout in Moosejaw shops, and a fully functional mobile version of the ecommerce site, Moosejaw.com. “It really has been a great time: falling in love with this brand and then pushing the company to so many new places,” added Comerford.
“We are very pleased to turn the reins over to Eoin,” said Jed Johnson, Board Chairman and Senior Partner of Parallel Investment Partners. “We’re confident that he will continue to execute the strategic direction that has driven Moosejaw to double industry growth over the past two and a half years.”
