TransWorld Media Hires Don Wilson As Publisher For TransWorld Motocross
TransWorld Media is proud to announce the recent hire of Don Wilson as publisher for its TransWorld Motocross brand. Wilson comes to TransWorld with a wealth of knowledge and success in advertising. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in business marketing from San Diego State University, Wilson spent the past 17 years with a career in broadcasting, 12 of which he successfully sold multimedia advertising across radio, websites and events to clients including Anheuser-Busch, Toyota Motor Corporation, BMW Motors, McDonalds, OMD/PHD, TBWA/Chiat Day, and more.
"Even though he misspells his first name, I'm very excited to work alongside Don and am more than confident in his abilities to steer the ship on the advertising side," Editor-in-Chief Donn Maeda says. "Don is already a good friend, and I know that his passion for moto and experience in advertising and events will continue to help propel the TransWorld Motocross brand to the next level. Together we're ready to grab the next gear."
At TransWorld, Wilson will be responsible for overseeing the motocross-specific sales staff and its clients while working closely with the editorial and marketing departments to ensure that advertising goals are met and new initiatives are continuously being created to stay ahead of the ever-changing advertising and media curves. Wilson grew up racing motocross, hence his passion for the sport specifically. In addition, his other hobbies include traveling, music, surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking.
“Ever since I was a kid, I have loved advertising,” Wilson says. “Whether I’m flipping through a magazine, surfing the web or listening to the radio, it’s the ad creative that has always captivated my interest. I’m extremely excited to come on board at TransWorld and am looking forward to merging two of my greatest passions: motocross and media.”
