Bicycle Coalition to Offer Grand Slam Way to get to Opening Day
Cyclists can park their bikes for free at East Village Opening Day Block Party outside Petco Park
SAN DIEGO, April 9, 2013 - The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, an organization that advocates for and protects the rights of all people who ride bicycles, will support Padres opening day fans with free bike valet parking outside of Petco Park at the East Village Opening Day Block Party today from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
WHAT: As part of Opening Day festivities at Petco Park, the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition provide free bike valet parking, to all people who ride bikes to East Village and Petco Park for opening day of the Padres baseball season. The Bicycle Coalition will keep bikes safe and secure before and during the game until 6 p.m.
WHEN: Tuesday, April 9, 2013, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
WHERE: Onsite at the East Village Opening Day Block Party, Downtown San Diego, on J Street between 6th Avenue and 10th Avenue.

WHY: The Bicycle Coalition invites all people who ride bicycles to attend Padres' Opening Day at Petco Park and the East Village Opening Day Block Party on their bikes to get free, secure bike valet parking from the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition.
Cycling is one piece of the transportation pie available to those who attend Opening Day festivities. Riding bikes, taking the bus or trolley or walking from downtown offices all help relieve traffic and congestion resulting in cleaner air and happy, healthy baseball fans.
