VIDEO: "The Seasons Collection" Gallery Art Show in LA

April 21, 2015

Last Tuesday, professional photographer Matt Alberts, in partnership with Cadillac, hosted a private gallery showing of the SNOW Collection, featuring wet collodion portrait photography of passionate, life-long-enthusiasts – such as Olympic Champion Jamie Anderson, X-Games Gold Medalist Travis McClain, and National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame member Klaus Obermeyer. The event provided a glimpse into “The Seasons Collection,” Matt’s year-long cross-country journey capturing adventure sports-driven stories and the people who push the limits in pursuit of their passion.

Here is a condensed breakdown of what unfolded over the last month of this incredible adventure:

·         WEEK 1:

o   Matt begins his adventure in Denver, CO, hitting the beautiful Colorado slopes in Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Vail, with Raul Pinto (Satellite Boardshop), Bobby Meeks (DC Shoes), Chad Otterstrom, Nic Drago, Drew Rouse (Grace Skis), Eric Warbel and his two sons, Jack and Cody.

·         WEEK 2:

o   For the second week of the trip, Matt visits Steamboat, CO to document the passionate participants of the Slash and Burn Banked Slalom, including Alex Pashley (Smartwool), and Scott Loeppert (Salomon Snowboards) and his kids.

·         WEEK 3:

o   Matt spends the third week of the SNOW program in Jackson Hole, WY shredding undisturbed backcountry and capturing life-long-riders like Mark Carter (North Face), Griffin Post (Kästle), Jacob Urban and Willie McMillon (Bluebird Wax and Snowboards).

·         WEEK 4:

o   Matt travels to Aspen, CO to catch up with world renowned enthusiasts like X-Games Gold Medalist Travis McClain, professional snowboarder Scotty Arnold, and National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame member Klaus Obermeyer – still hitting the slopes at 95 years old.
