EMP: ThirtyTwo Hires Snowboarder Mike Dawson

ThirtyTwo welcomes Mike Dawson as the brand’s new outerwear, apparel and accessory design manager.  Prior to his extensive snow design career, Mike Dawson was snowboarding in the original ThirtyTwo Peter Line boots and skating Emericas. Mike says, “I’m stoked to be a part of a brand that I believe in, and I respect that ThirtyTwo represents the influence of skate in snowboarding.”

“Everyone on the ThirtyTwo team skates.The fact that Mike is a great designer that has a passion for snowboarding and respect for the brand’s skate heritage makes him the perfect fit,” said Brian Cook, ThirtyTwo global brand director.

From starting his own brand that created the first stretch twill slim fit pant in snowboarding, as a leader in street wear inspired snowboard clothes, to heading up design for some of the biggest brands in snowboarding Mike brings mountains of outerwear experience to ThirtyTwo. 

“Every aspect of my passion for snowboarding is inspired by my experiences skateboarding.  I plan to bring all of the snowboarding and design wisdom I have to ThirtyTwo and help propel the already strong ThirtyTwo outerwear and apparel program forward for a strong future,” said Mike Dawson.
