CEP Partners with Teton Gravity Research
April 26, 2016
Today, CEP Compression, a world leader in performance compression socks and sportswear, announces its official partnership with extreme sports media company, Teton Gravity Research. In addition to the brand partnership, CEP is also delighted to add TGR ski athletes, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Hadley Hammer to the brand’s elite athlete team.
“Teton Gravity Research lives at the center of ski and snowboard culture,” said Jeffrey Baker, Category Manager at CEP. “On the other hand, CEP has always been at the center of performance technology and innovation in socks and apparel. We’re excited to work together with TGR to promote the CEP brand with the world’s best ski and snowboard athletes.”
The partnership comes as CEP seeks to increase exposure and commitment to support athletes of all kinds before, during and after exercise. TGR athletes will provide valuable field-testing for the socks, providing feedback to drive product development and maintain the company’s innovation leadership in performance compression apparel. CEP ski socks deliver the perfect balance of comfort and performance; a result of over 50 years of development to produce the perfect ergonomic profile that never rubs and is guaranteed to last over 200 wears.
“High quality, durable products such as CEP are critical for our ski athletes who spend hours on end in their ski boots,” said Todd Jones, Founder of TGR. “CEP socks will help our athletes perform longer, stay warmer and prevent injuries while filming in some of the most extreme environments.”
CEP is also excited to welcome TGR big mountain skiers Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Hadley Hammer to the brand’s exclusive athlete team. Cattabriga-Alosa, a three-time winner of Powder Magazine’s video awards and over 10 TGR films under his belt, is one of the best-known skiers in the ski-film industry. Hammer, a long-time competitor on the Freeride World Tour and a regular presence on the podium, is ranked amongst some of the best female skiers in the world.
"My enthusiasm for skiing is endless, and it's usually my muscles that give out before my head,” said Hadley Hammer, CEP ski athlete. “CEP ski socks help my legs keep up with my passion so that I can ski from sunrise to sunset."
Rooted in over a half-century of German design and innovation in medical technology, CEP Ski Socks activate circulation, making legs feel lighter after a long day on the slopes. The company’s proprietary compression profile reduces muscle soreness and stabilizes muscles and joints to help prevent injuries, making them the perfect product for extreme sports athletes everywhere. This Fall 2016, CEP will be introducing the Ski Ultralight sock featuring SMART INFRARED technology that retains heat for warmer toes on the hill.
