I have been in the industry for about 7 years now. My first job in the industry started as a fit model at Sole Technologies, but once I had my foot in the door, I made it clear that I would like to work for them and utilize my education. It took about 6 months, but finally I was hired on full time, I worked for Sole Tech as a Product Developer (Graphics and special Wash Knits) for about 1 1/2years. From there, I moved on to a Young Men's manufacturer called Michael Gerald Ltd. where I started as an assistant Production manager, worked my way up to a Production Manager (Managing all woven tops and bottoms as my primary roll) , and was promoted about 8 months ago to Product Manger where I am involved with sales and design, as well as, development and production for private label customers. Prior to my industry experience, I perused a degree from the Fashion Institute graduating with a 3.6 overall GPA.
