My personal experiences inspired me to study communication through Journalism and Media Studies at San Diego State University. Throughout my time there, I found myself fascinated with public relations, journalism, advertising, marketing, and creative writing. I also continued my passions in fashion and entertainment by working at Guess, Tiffany & Co., a fashion event planning company, and as a wedding planner. After graduating college, I accepted an opportunity to serve as an intern at a reputable public relations firm and within a month, I was asked to join the team as an account executive. I accepted the position and worked in the areas of media relations, image management, and crisis management for seven clients in the nonprofit, science, and legal sectors. Following my time at the firm, I decided to explore the medical side of the beauty industry through management and marketing, increasing the company’s clientele. Fortunately, during this time Beck Ellman Heald reached out to me, needing contract work on a variety of clients. As this contract recently ended, I was fortunate enough to immediately find myself work, again in the cosmetic industry as the Marketing and Development Director for Ageless & Beautiful Cosmetic Day Spa. In addition to my daily work, I keep my personal time occupied by freelancing articles for a magazine, and managing several social media accounts. My real world experiences within public relations, journalism, event planning and social media have developed my awareness of the importance of communication and the significance of developing positive relationships. Through personal traveling, I became conscious of the necessity to adapt to different and unexpected situations- creatively, logically, and positively. This has matured my personality, understanding, and outlook on the world. Thus, I’m confident when I say that I would be a reliable addition to any team.
