Elizabeth Smyka

I have been doing commissioned portraits and contract projects for the past few years and have been working to add variety to my portfolio. This work ranged from character design, book illustrations, wedding décor, alternative guest books, pet portraits, and couples’ portraits. I designed the 2021 Issue of Giving Magazine, a magazine organized by Michigan Cares for Tourism to highlight the tourism industry giving back to their communities. And I just illustrated my first children’s book, Special to Me, that was published this fall. I have always been passionate about art and have worked a variety of jobs that have prepared me for all different work environments. I studied graphic design and printmaking in school and have used that for logo design, marketing, book layout, magazines, and promotional design.
